Venice Fellowship

British Pavilion, Venice Architecture Biennale 2025
September 2025

Through the British Arts Council and Manchester Metropolitan University, I was awarded a month-long Venice Fellowship, working within the British Pavilion during the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale.

During the fellowship, I undertook an independent research project exploring embodied interactions between the body, architecture, and materiality, considering how these relationships are experienced within the Pavilion and across Venice’s architectural landscape.

Alongside my research, I worked within the British Pavilion, welcoming over 1,000 visitors each day and assisting with enquiries, while discussing artworks, curatorial themes, and exhibition processes. Working within an international and fast-paced public-facing environment developed my communication, problem-solving, and cross-cultural engagement skills, while providing valuable insight into the relationship between artistic research, architecture, and public engagement.
